| Large Armchair with Pomegranates |

Click images to enlarge The Suzani used to cover this chair was hand embroidered using silk threads on a black cotton foundation. Notice the fabulous concentric rings of flowers and pomegranates in colors of yellow, white and red. There is also a green border which runs across the skirt of the chair in the front. Welting runs between the seat and the skirt. The rear of the chair is also fully embroidered with 24 gorgeous flowers and pomegranates in concentric circles.
The frame is circa mid-20th century. It is solid hardwood, showing the patina of age with a graceful curve at the top. It has been re-upholstered using springs and horsehair stuffing and is very comfortable. Matching lumbar pillow available. Ample proportions! Measures 24" w x 38" h x 27" deep.
